Ashley

Ashley has been around hairdressing her whole life, observing her mum own and run her own salon. 

She went on to work in some of London’s busiest salons, where she gained great experience with a varied clientele. Working at fashion shows, GHD campaigns, ITV talent shows, and many photo shoots. 

When her mum decided to slow down and semi retire she decided to take on the challenge and open up her own salon, Academy Now. 

She’s a part time salon owner/hairdresser and full time mum to 2 gorgeous boys. 

Hair Stylist

JAYNE

Jayne has been working in Welwyn Garden City as a hairdresser for over 50 years. She’s worked at both Hair Now and Academy Hair and Beauty, managing both stores and training lots of great hairdressers over the years.

She has travelled the world hairdressing, working in Miami , styling hair for Miss World in China, Miss England and styling hair for numerous magazines and fashion shows. Jayne has incredible knowledge and is a real hairdressing legend.

LOTTIE

Lottie is our newest stylist at Academy Now. She shows passion in big colour transformations and long hair.

She is currently studying Hairdressing Management Level 4 at Oaklands college to further her hairdressing qualfications.

We can't wait to watch her grow and have a long standing clientele.

Theresa

Theresa is the person that keeps everything flowing and running smoothly. Her infectious positive energy is what the team and clients love, all the while she’s ensuring our day runs smoothly.

Hair Stylist & Long Hair Specialist

Jed

Jed is our long hair specialist. Having amazing long hair himself he knows exactly what it takes to get your long locks looking their best.

Jed is a great asset to the team and makes all his clients feel calm and happy with their style decisions. His clients always leave the salon with Instagram worthy photo ready hair.

Jed has recently trained with Great Lengths hair extensions, so if you want flowing long locks like Rapunzel, Jed’s your guy.

Manager & Hair Stylist

Katrina

Our manager Kat is a great all rounder, a real people person. She specialises in short, precision hair cuts. She trained at VIDAL Sassoon and has gone on to work at Miss World, Miss England and many hair shows. Even though Kat specialises in short hair she also loves doing Great Length hair extensions and giving clients a real transformation. Kat has real creative flair and is a total artist when it comes to hair.

Hair Stylist

Rachel 

Rachel has worked in Welwyn Garden City all of her hairdressing career, so has made plenty of loyal clients along the way. She’s willing to learn and explore, and is always ready for a challenge.

Rachel's loyal clientele will agree that she is an absolute pleasure to spend time with and a thoughtful, caring and extremely talented hairdresser. This means she is in very high demand so get your appointments booked in.
