"Academy Now" is a brand new hair salon located on Howardsgate in Welwyn Garden City. The salon combines the names of 2 outstanding hair salons that started in Welwyn Garden City "Hair Now" and "Academy Hair & Beauty". These salons have had a place in the town since the 1970's and although no longer open still hold a place in the hearts of many regular clients. Academy Now hopes to provide the best of these much loved salons but with a fresh new feel.
Academy Now hair salon is staffed by a team of experienced hair stylists who all love their job transforming hair and making people look and feel great. Individually the Now team have published work in magazines, TV work, fashion shows, Miss World and Miss England competitions to name a few. If you were a client at Academy Hair and Beauty you'll know a few familiar faces too.

what do we stand for?
SUSTAINABILITY
We want to make good sustainable decisions for our clients and salon alongside producing great hair. We will continue to minimise energy use and waste, use eco friendly products and recycle.
Our first big sustainability decision was to move away from the use of traditional towels and instead use super absorbent biodegradable 'towels' from B-Corp Scrummi. These towels are made from 100% soft, natural and compostable fibres and help us to drastically reduce our water and energy usage from towel washing.
INCLUSIVITY
We want everyone that walks through our salon door to feel safe and welcome. We hope that we have created a salon environment where people of all ages and backgrounds feel that they belong.
HISTORY
We know how loved Academy Hair & Beauty was in Welwyn Garden City and although Academy Now is a new business and salon we aim to respect the history of what was. We will bring together new & old to provide a salon experience for everyone.
